The Importance Of Education

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin

I’ve always believed that you are never too old to learn. I take that philosophy with me to work every day, understanding the true power that knowledge carries. In the financial industry, money is often associated with power, but without the proper financial education in place, navigating life as you approach retirement can be filled with costly mistakes.

At Marathon Wealth, our team of life-centered financial professionals undergo extensive training to ensure that they are knowledgeable in regards to all aspects of your financial needs. They attend workshops, seminars, conferences and conventions across the United States to learn from other financial industry veterans and experts. All of this is done in an effort to bolster our client education services.

For us, client education is incredibly important. We want our clients to make informed and confident decisions throughout their Financial Life Journeys. In order to do that, they need to fully understand all of the elements that go into their Financial Life Plan. They need to understand why their money should be invested in certain places, why they should choose a certain IRA, why they should develop a spending plan and why our team is making specific recommendations to them.

In order to obtain a drivers license in the United States, you need to study for and pass a test. There’s a reason for that. Driving is a major responsibility. Throwing someone on the road just because they understand the concept of driving would be reckless. While you won’t need to pass any tests to begin your Financial Life Journey, without knowledge of what you are doing along the way, you could make mistakes that could majorly affect your ability to work towards your goals. However, no matter what, our team will be there to provide support and guidance to ensure your Financial Life Journey remains on track.

As we’ve grown as a firm, we have invested more and more into education. The upside is that clients now have access to more information, tools and resources to help them along their Financial Life Journeys. The downside…well…there really is none. Just as I believe that you’re never too old to learn, I also believe that you can never learn too much. After all, we know how important an investment in knowledge can be.
